MY ROLE
Solo Game Developer
I designed & scripted the game mechanics and designed the level. All the art assets were provided by accessible website sources, not created by me.

Created and Designed the Score & result board system, which happens at the end of playing the game

Designed and Scripted the player buttons to hit the music notes and music notes speed mechanics while making them match the rhythm of the song

Designed and scripted Score Multiplier based on how many notes you have hit in a row

Created and Designed game documents and concept drawings that explain the systems, player & game mechanics, and UI
Rhythm Beat was a week-long Rapid game design project where it had to be about matching notes with your buttons in a 2d version of a game like Guitar Hero. At first, I had to create concepts of the game on paper and explain my thought process. Afterward, I went into the unreal game engine, where I tried to create this game at first, but unreal wasn't fit for a game like this, so I went into Unity, where I figured out quickly how to use C++ to create the gameplay in the screenshots below.
